This is different from standard US passport photos (70–80%). The DV Lottery requires slightly more space around the head.

Photo must be exactly square (600×600)

The DV e-DV system requires a perfectly square image. Rectangular photos will be rejected.

File size must be under 240 KB

No digital alterations

You cannot digitally alter the photo in a way that changes your appearance, adds backgrounds, or removes features.

Photo must show full face

The full face including the top of the head must be visible. No cropping of forehead or chin.
